The call for proposals, with a budget of 10 million euros, activates Submeasure 5.2 exclusively in relation to the calamitous event resulting from the spread of Xylella annoying in the EU, limiting interventions to the replacement of damaged and/or destroyed olive trees with varieties of olive tree recognized tolerant/resistant to bacteria by the competent authorities.

Operations financed from start-up are permitted only on olive-growing areas within the infected defined area, with the exception of the 20 km area referred to in Article 7(7)(c) of Implementing Decision (EU)2352/2017 (Containment Area), for which the Member State may not authorise the planting of host plants.
