The selection criteria are the characteristics of the operations in order to be eligible for co-financing by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (DEASR) for the 2014-2022 programming period.
The criteria for the selection of measures are defined by the Managing Authority (MA), in line with art. 49 of Regulation (EU) 1305/2013 which provides: “The criteria for the selection of interventions are intended to ensure equal treatment of applicants, better use of financial resources and greater compliance of the measures with the priorities of the Union in the field of rural development and that they are defined and applied in accordance with the principle of proportionality in relation to the size of the interventions".
The selection criteria are discussed and approved by the Monitoring Committee. During the implementation of the 2014-2022 programme, they may be revised, also on the basis of the implementation experience and the indications that may reach the Managing Authority and the Monitoring Committee during the qualitative monitoring and evaluation phase of the Programme.
Within four months of the approval of the programme, the Monitoring Committee shall deliver an opinion on the selection criteria for operations financed under Article 74 of Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013.
