Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries are:

• the Apulia Region; 
• the entities that operate or sell public water systems and networks. 

Beneficiaries must comply with the Community rules on water saving and the characteristics of the investment set out in the measure sheet. 

Objectives 

To optimise existing water distribution systems. Specifically: 

• modernising supply and distribution networks; 
• completing irrigation schemes and interconnection works; 
• restoring deteriorated nets; 
• building rainwater reservoirs with a volume of less than 250,000 cubic meters.

Selection principles

The evaluation of submeasure 4.3.A provides for a subdivision into macro-criteria, a minimum admissible score of 25 points and a maximum score that can reach 100 points, thus defined among the types of operations activated, each of which can reach a maximum of 25 points:

• type and level of innovation;
• agricultural and forestry holdings served; 
• served surface; 
• water saving above the set minimum threshold.

Territorial scopes and beneficiaries do not foresee any relevance in the attribution of the score in this case. In the event of an equal number of points, priority will be given to Applications for Support which require a lower total investment cost.

Eligible expenditure 

The financing covers the costs incurred for: 

• modernising and rehabilitating air-termination and lifting works; 
• modernising and rehabilitating water supply and distribution networks, including ancillary works; 
• creating and improving works, equipment and systems for the automation, measurement and remote control of plants; 
• building, improving and securing reservoirs with a volume of less than 250,000 cubic metres; 
• realizing, widening the supply networks connected to the realization of reservoirs of dimensions inferior to 250. 000 cubic meters;
• installing meters to monitor water consumption related to the supported investment; 
• overheads.

Scope of support 

Funding covers 100% of eligible costs.
