The call for proposals, with a budget of two million two hundred thousand euros, supports material investments by nurseries in order to provide production sites in the defined area with adequate physical protection to obtain recognition of the "disease-free site" against the introduction and transmission of Xylella Fastidiosa, which can only occur through insects vectors of the specified organism by the vectors currently known (Philaenus spumarius, Philaenus Italosignus and Neophilaenus campestris).

Support is granted only for the adaptation of existing structures (fixed greenhouses) and only for investments that will allow compliance with the conditions laid down in Article 9(2)(c) of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/789, as amended, in order to allow the movement of specified plants within the European Union.
