The call, with a budget of 5 million euros, supports interventions aimed at preventing the spread of the quarantine pathogen 'Xylella Fastidiosa', through the application and management of the means currently available, with the intention of contributing, as far as possible, to block the advance of plant disease.
The interventions financed are:
- etraordinary pruning of monumental olive trees surveyed for the purpose of preventing phytosanitary problems and carried out with a view to maintaining the morphological characteristics of distinctive value of monumental plants;
- purchase and installation of protective structures (anti-insect nets) for the protection of monumental olive trees surveyed.
