The call for proposals, with an initial budget of 167 million euros, supports the implementation of integrated production as an agri-food production system using methods and means of agricultural production and protection against adverse weather conditions, aimed at eliminating or minimising the use of synthetic chemicals with characteristics that have an impact on man and the environment and at rationalising fertilisation and irrigation in accordance with ecological, economic and toxicological principles.

Commitments must be made for a minimum period of five years from the date of submission of the aid application and must be maintained throughout the commitment period.

These commitments on the part of the holdings take the form of compliance with all the elements laid down in these documents only for the cultivation phase up to harvesting (soil management, cultivation practices, fertilisation and irrigation, management of protection with plant protection products).

The five-year commitment covers the entire area of the farm receiving funding.
