Support may be requested by:  

• farmers and farmers' associations.

Commitments

The award is awarded, for the next five years, with the commitment to comply with all the elements provided by the Integrated Production Regulations (IPR) and the Eco-sustainable Standards (NDI) of the Puglia Region. 

In particular, it is required for the types of cultivation provided by the PPE: 

• soil management and the adoption of agronomic practices for pest control; 
• the choice of variety and propagation material;
• crop rotation; 
• fertilization; 
• the adoption of specific techniques for each crop and compliance with the binding phytosanitary indications listed in the Production Regulations; 
• voluntary regulation of machinery for distributing plant protection products; 
• keeping a register of cultivation and storage operations relating to commitments; 
• the advice of a professional certified by the National Action Plan (NAP). 

Additional commitments of an optional nature are also foreseen.

Additional support for crops

Additional support is only provided for: 

• olive; 
• fruitful; 
• horticultural.

The additional premium concerns: 

• sexual confusion; 
• biocontrol; 
• adulticide control; 
• biofumigant green manure; 
• pruning.

The agricultural area eligible for payment may not be less than 1 ha. 

Selection principles

There is no minimum admissible score. The score cannot be accumulated. The 100 points are assigned in the territorial area according to the location of the agricultural areas in the preferential areas.
The beneficiaries and the types of operations activated are not relevant for the purposes of scoring.

In the case of farms falling within more than one type of preferential area, indicated among the territorial areas, the score will be assigned in proportion to the territory falling within the areas. In the event of equal points, priority will be given to applications for support for varieties with a level of risk of 2 in descending order of area occupied by the same.

Amount of the premium

Support shall be granted over five years in the form of an annual premium per hectare of committed area according to the type of crop.
