Territory 
The South East Barese Gal operates in 9 municipalities and covers an area of 595. 34 square kilometers. The area, located south-east of the city of Bari between the Adriatic coast and the pre-Murgian area, is populated by 183,882 inhabitants. The primary sector contributes in an important way to the economy of the area presenting valuable agricultural productions - table grapes, cherries, olives and valuable vegetables such as the red onion of Acquaviva delle Fonti, carrot and potato of Polignano a Mare - and important fish vocations. 

Objectives 

• Promoting sustainable tourism and enhance the peculiarities of the territory; 
• encouraging the development of local production chains (agri-food, craft and manufacturing, fish production); 
• improving the accessibility and the tourist fruition of the territory; 
• creating added value for businesses and the local population.
